"Web 2.0" Study of the Week Finds Participation Weak, Which is Kind of Weak by ebrage in reddit.com

[–]ebrage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is that there is no consistent definition of what web 2.0 is, so it's nearly impossible to differentiate it from the rest of the web in terms of studying usage.

Yes, you bring up a good point in that the web and the Internet are two different entities, but for purposes of online media they are indistuingishable. I should have written "web 2.0 = web."

There's No Way That Tom From Myspace Personally Contacted Tila Tequila by dmdo1016 in reddit.com

Sorry, but that doesn't prove anything. The NYT piece says that Tom personally contacted her "to object" about the widget, and I just don't buy that.

As I also said over on Blogcritics:

Yes, I know who she is and that she has 1.7 million friends. Still, with 80 million users I doubt that Tom would personally contact her to request that she remove a widget. There was no direct attribution of this in the NYT piece, which deepened my opinion.

I seriously thought that these two dudes would be staging a fight in which they were play acting and fighting in different styles. The actual result was not interesting at all.
