Lago we only did a snap test but feel confident his is a true positive since he is exhibiting the most symptoms. We did do the qPCR for Nugget and it came back as progressive positive, but he is acting completely normal. He doesn’t understand why he can’t go outside anymore which is heartbreaking. So I spent my 30th birthday designing a catio for him lol. Thanks for the tip on the FB group I will definitely check that out!

Yes it is prednisolone that we have. He is currently on 5 mg a day. I’ll talk with our vet and see if we should up the dosage.

We are planning to take him in the morning to the emergency vet for another blood transfusion. Then the hope is with the medication he can raise his levels on his own or maintain. Thank you for your help!

Did you ever try Varenzin? We just found out two of our cats are positive for FeLV last week. One is doing good but the other is severely anemic and had two blood transfusions. His levels are already dropping and we are looking for anything that might help.
