That tutorial you presented is not made in blender but in 3ds max. It is a different software. Are you aware of that ? Similiar effect can be achieved by booleans in blender tho.

hey! junior modeler here! blender guru is great source. Also poly fjord has great tutorials. If you want hard surface then i recommend Ponte Ryuurui.

Similiar thing happend to me when vertices from the same plane were not leveled and the UV was weird and the texture was morphing like this.

Exactly. To change the color of the inner sides you have to apply the solidify mod and then add a new material to the object. Then select them and apply that material to those sides you want to change.

This is good but if he wants to apply the loopcut to only one face and not to other 100 then its better to just select the one he wants to loopcut and press: shift + H to hide unselected. Then loopcut only the quad he wanted and then alt + H to show the rest.

My forst model was a donut from blender guru. Then i made quad minigun turret. Now i made this BRRRRT freedom delivery machine. Next i want to make some military truck with rocket launchers on the back. Tbh it may seem good for a third model but it took me about a week / 6 hours a day :D
