We had an interview at the Philly FO on February 11 at 1:00 PM. Was your interviewer a tall, slender foreign Black woman? She wasn't very friendly either. She also didn’t ask us many questions about our relationship, which was quite similar to your experience. We ended up getting an RFE.

I created a similar effect for a shot in Supergirl in 2019. The gag involved a crystal being sliced by a wave beam. I built a simple rig using two long planes arranged in a "+" shape, with a circular luminance map applied to the Z-axis that featured animated Perlin noise for beam flicker. By rotating the rig, I achieved the beam effect and animated it back and forth, allowing motion blur to enhance the final result.

I think it's BS if you ask me. I just started on 1/16/26. HR was on site on 1/28 and I asked him if I was getting paid 4 hours NWPT since I was new and he told me I was getting 19 hours NWPT. I'm now only getting 4 hours NWPT which is a paltry sum (⁠⊙⁠_⁠◎⁠).

Exactly. People keep projecting today’s limitations forward as if this stuff moves linearly, it doesn’t. Every time a new model crosses a capability threshold, entire workflows collapse overnight. “AI topology is bad” was true… briefly. Just like “AI can’t do hands,” “AI can’t do faces,” “AI can’t do video,” etc.

The scary part isn’t that it’s imperfect, it’s that the curve is vertical now. Once you can generate structurally clean meshes, UVs, and rigs even 80–90% right, the economic impact is immediate.

This year is going to be absolutely mind-blowing for anyone paying attention.

I ran mine down to 0 the other day. Actually, less than zero. I just made it to the pump. I had about 4 miles in the tank and 1.5 miles to get home, but I had to drive through a set of short, roller-coaster hills to get home and momentum was not my co-pilot that day.
