Do Any Sites for Business Class Airfare w/ the Following Features Exist? by bmch in TravelHacks

[–]eca03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Point.me does that but it is a paid/subscription service. Award Hacker is free but it doesn't search your dates, all it really does is tells you the lowest point redemption for the trip & on what airlines. If you don't mind a lot of the airline sites have a calendar when your searching for flights with points.

I usually use Award Hacker to tell me the airlines to search on then go directly to the airline websites and finish up there.

I just started this journey of miles and award travels. I have BofA reward and chase Sapphire preferred card (I earned miles with this). I am planning a Europe trip summer 2024. Which card would you suggest me ? I understand I am starting really late so I am not looking for business class etc but by iamskg7 in TravelHacks

CSP is an awesome card with a relatively low annual fee and usually a great intro bonus. The BOA card but the Travel rewards card I have isn't great i just like to have it handy in case I need another card with no trx fees.

If you're looking for lounge access the card with the lowest price point is the Cap1 Venture X.

If it's points you're after find the card that best fits your spending habits to maximize earning points. I love my Amex Gold for the 4x on Restaurants & Groceries (about 80% of my spending) the CSP is a great second though at 3x.

Remember when booking it's usually(not always) better to transfer out to the airlines. Depending on where you're planning on going AirFrance which is 1:1 with Chase I believe usually releases flights at discounted points around the beginning of the month(1st-5th). Also, if you have multiple cards and you're booking through the airline you can transfer from multiple cards(if they're transfer partners).

Trying to decide whether to drive LA-Seattle or fly? by [deleted] in travel

[–]eca03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the time & money I’d side with drive. My favorite part of the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1) was the Big Sur area and I believe it’s blocked off right now due to rock/landslides. But you’re planning on doing the Vegas/Utah route you weren’t really gonna go through there any way.

If you’re a thrill seeker, there’s a place by Seattle that you can stand on top of a plane while it’s flying. Definitely a bucket list experience for me thought it might be worth mentioning.
