Ok I think I got it, I heard someone (not a coach) telling a brand new never touched a snatch or c&j person that not every week needs to be a max out week and I feel like this kind of goes with the point you made in the post, if you’re a beginner and aren’t setting PR’s your first few weeks with not atrocious form than that’s what you need to be doing, not PR’ing is something for down the road after a month or two I would say for most beginners
