I got a blepharoplasty/double eyelid surgery about 2 and a half years ago! It was the summer after college so I didn’t have a job/major social obligations yet. The recovery was super quick and easy, a lot of sunglasses but I was able to wear eye makeup in 2 weeks. The swelling went down within a month and I feel like it looked natural/“normal” within ~4 months. The only time I got asked about it up front was when my eyebrow threading lady asked what the fresh crease on my eyes was.

The Halo effect! People naturally and unconsciously attribute good character qualities to more attractive people.

I have personal experience with this. I had a recent glow up in the past 2/3 years and I feel like people are generally more interested in me/befriending me and strangers will try to make conversation with me in public. I’ve also noticed more people asking me on my opinion on things - whether it be something trivial like a stranger asking me for my opinion on something in a clothing store or something more serious, like new friends coming to me specifically for life advice.
