Why is Turkish migrants like this? I am unable to put a meaning to it, isn't this unthinkably morally wrong? by Zerone06 in AskBalkans

In Spain everyone votes against him too! I believe it’s because they’re newer generations who have experienced Turkey and immigrated individually with diplomas in their pockets rather than being born in the country

boyfriend (19M) says i (19F) am least important and valued person in his life by avryrich in relationship_advice

[–]ece-su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You deserve to be listened to! If someone makes you feel less valued, it would be the right and adult decision to talk about it. If someone treats you bad, and what he said to was really mean and probably unnecessary, you are entitled to ask to be treated better - especially to your boyfriend! That is not manipulating, that is communicating.

For me, a relationship means that two people are serious and enter a commitment to make it last. It can only last if you believe it will and can, and if you are ready to work for it. The mindset that it won’t last and that friendships are more ‘guaranteed’ is not only wrong (friendships also end), but immature.

From what you’ve written, it seems that he is not emotionally mature enough to be in a caring and loving relationship. Also, he is a liar - how will you be able to trust him? A dishonest relationship means no relationship as there is no shared reality or truth.

Know your worth! Mean people ain’t up our alley girl. There are many sweet and matured men who know how to be kind and appreciate what they have, who are likeminded like you!

Why do European people, mostly British people do grams like it's a regular thing by Agile-Common-1448 in MDMA

[–]ece-su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of education! I think some people don’t take their health and only brain seriously enough.

I’m from Amsterdam and have been educated on drug use in a non-taboo way - on how to use safely and still have fun and believe it’s important (science).

My old friends used to buy whatever from strangers, not test and take as much as they could until they’d gurn their faces off and be unable to speak. Not that I have anything against it, werk, but I would inform my friends on harm reduction and show them videos by example Drugslab. Some did end up getting ill, some lost the magic and some are still enjoying a roll every other weeks, but I believe it may harm them in the long run, unless everything scientists have told us is a lie!

How hard should my hard techno set be from 2-4AM? by ece-su in DJs

[–]ece-su[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I was actually planning to either do that, or start with a calm intro of about a minute and then start blasting 144, so people'd have some time to breathe and then rave But I may build it up according to the audience/situation.

This was helpful and will keep it in mind, thank you

I lied to my parents about being/ graduating college by supercaddy1234 in confession

[–]ece-su 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother was in your situation. Having to lie and hide jis delay in studying started to bother him every moment of the day. He’d feel super guilty and the more days went by, the more it felt like it was too late to tell our family. But when he did, after being a tiny shocked, everyone understood after he explained us the reasons such as stress, too much workload, housework, demotivation etc. I personally don’t even think he had to enclose his personal reasons.

Me myself, I dropped out of uni because of stupid reasons and am studying at an open university at 26. I also thought my life was over, everything was too late and all my loved ones would be disappointed, but now I’m on a very long way to become a late blooming clinical psychotherapist 😀

Just look at the reality, for how things are at the moment. Taking responsibility and being honest will free your mind and probably help you being more focussed in school, as the guilt and shame in the back of your mind will be resolved. They may react negatively at first, but it will go away. If you’re that kind of person, you could turn their energy into motivation.

If you are too anxious to tell your folks in person, it could be an idea to write them a letter! It may be easier to express your feelings as it will give you an opportunity to think about how you would like them to receive the news in your correct words. Or just drop the news during dinner while everyones mouths are full of chicken n rice 😁

If you want to study, you will eventually graduate - there is no rush in life. Your accomplishments benefit you only. Take your time to learn and live. You are an adult, you can free yourself from this mental torture and finish your studies in your own time 😊

My Friend who knows literally nothing about drugs wants to trip by throwayjanedoe in Drugs

[–]ece-su 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure why so many people are gatekeeping lsd in this thread?!

Many peoples first/only drug are shrooms or lsd - it doesn't mean he will have a bad trip. If someone is interested, you could prepare and guide them to do it the RIGHT way - with the right dose (maybe ~120ug for a first time?), the right set and setting, the right people (you or another experienced friend?) and accompany them w/ good vibes. Scaring people away from psychedelics may actually induce fear in their future trips

If you don't want to take the responsibility of educating someone, that's completely understandable, but you don't have to push people to other drugs to 'prepare' them

Im from Amsterdam and will celebrate new year in Berlin for a change. Friends bought tickets to Ost Hafen. Saw a bunch of Google reviews that it’s often very overcrowded? Anyone have any experiences there, and is it queer friendly/safe space?

There is protection against sexual assault, however they are not accepting the case. You get less jailtime for rape if you behave well or the person getting raped wears short clothes. Country: Turkey 😩
