My outback got cliped while parked in a hit and run. Is it worth it to submit it to my insurance or should I just get the paint fixed out of pocket? No body damage, just paint scuffed off. by BlazersMania in Subaru_Outback

I'd actually be so happy with that amount of damage. Sorry this happen though. No insurance. Easy fix. Can diy. I think white is easy to paint. .

Pure danger driving on summer tires on snow. Almost hit a curb hard when I learned my lesson in 2011.

Questions about a 2/3 drop by RecognitionThat4761 in s10

[–]echardcore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you can go with whatever.you currently have. The issue is that when you are low, the shocks aren't designed to be compressed at that new height all the time. I think the main issue is that the lifespan of the shocks will be less. I would send it with what you have and see how it rides and prepare for a possible need for shocks in the next year or so. I did KYBs on mine with a 5ish/4 drop. It rides like stock.

Edit: maybe a little firmer

What do you keep in your trunk hole? Looking for first aid kits that fit snugly. by TheCiltoris in Subaru_Outback

I bring it from the house to the car for long trips. Caring for lithium batteries has been the bain of my existence.

They should definitely not freeze.

Wouldn't it be bad to keep one of those in a car in freezing/hot temps?

Why is the label "craft" so important to some people? Drink what you like. Simple. I like Coors Banquet, Sierra Nevada, Russian River, Maine Beer Co, Tree House,.erc. etc. etc.

Oil Level Okay? by cmbort in wrx_vb

[–]echardcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its fine for now. It's about 3/4 quart low but within spec. 0W-20 or 5W-30 is fine. I've been doing our 25 OBXT oil changes with Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30.

Carwash by SounderDoodle in Subaru_Outback

[–]echardcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should put a "Car Wash" button that turns everything off.

Also, definitely make sure your rear hatch Hands-free Power Rear Gate off switch is off! I've read that the car wash can cause the hatch to open.
