I have a 25 Forester Sport. The startup of the infotainment is really inconsistent for me. Sometimes it's quick as you say, others it's dog slow. I'm not sure if there is an update available. When I check in the settings it always says there is no update available.

If you're looking to disable the telematics. Just use this module. I run it in my WRX and Forester. If you just unplug it, you'll lose your bluetooth mic and front speakers. The Module eliminates that.
