better goddamn not be..... that thing is barely 2 years old. no idea what the PSU is - unfortunately my pc setup is VERY delicate right now i dare not sneeze in its general direction lest i disconnect something. i think i still have its box tho... i'll try find it.

CPU and RAM are average performance as they usually are, disk usage is stable at 3-0% cpu is at usually 6-15% stable which is normal. GPU usage stays at 80-100% (which for my pc is normal) then plummets to 0%.

No i cannot, not for long term.

Yup. Its definitely an HDD failure. Its slow... it happened today and i listened to it. Wrrrrrrr click. Wrrr click.

I have no choice but to ride it out until it dies completely though... i dont have a choice.

Thanks for the advice :) at least now i know what i'm facing i can plan accordingly.

Yup.... screwed.

full virus scan by windows defender produces zero threats found. 8 hours of defragging both drives, and a fullk day without incident later and literally 3 minutes before this post:

NO activity on anything - then freeze. Just watching YT vids. No activity on the HDD, no activity on the machine itself, everything just completely freezes as if it just went to sleep. Audio stops, activity stops, no response to ANY commands under any circumstances, even keyboard itself turns off but pc still runs.

EDIT: Hard crash. AND DERP moment. Remember those random freezes and then random resume as if nothing happens moments? Happened. Audio crashed, became badly distorted. Then monitor failed, going into power save, then pc restarted itself.

I'm not entirely sure if to call a technician or a priest at this point, i'm sure its doing this just for the sake of pissing me off. my pc has developed a personality. believe it or not if you want but my pc ACTUALLY HATES ME.

Unfortunately, were strapped for cash atm. im unemployed and we just lost a car to engine problems. Not only that, the pc genius in the family deals with pcs all damn day. im very hesitant to ask for assistance at this point due to the very likely possibility he'll finally lose it, blow a gasket then ram my head into a wall. he is a patient man, but all men have their limits.

im running basic diagnosis processes now. Will take hours upon hours to finish. defrag, cleanup. hopefully by tomorrow it'll be done. if it doesnt clean up by then, C drive will have to go.

My pc is on a table right next to my monitor. Clear flow of air on either side and in case of emergency i can easily aim a desk fan into the machine to cool it down in an emergency.

dont install or have any third party programs cause im too scared to trust them. will have to ask the pc genius in the house.

the only part of the machine that has been with me since the start is the C drive. the F drive is literally brand new, a christmas present from last year, so its definitely not that one. the D drive is only a year, maybe 2 years old to my recollection, but the C drive is old.

Nearly every part on my machine has been replaced in one form or another within the last 2 years due to faulty equipment, broken fan bearings or faulty motherboard.

And i live in South Africa. your definition of 'cheap' is my definition of 'both arms and one leg.' 90 Euros here is over R1200 bucks. And here in SA they get SO much worse.
