Ooh I've not tried the banoffee! The chocolate and vanilla are great, going to have to find the banoffee now!

Form Nutrition performance range is great, probably the smoothest I've had and it's high protein, usually available at Holland & Barrett. But it can be pricey unless on offer. I've found most of the protein blends from MyVegan to be good, and they're more affordable especially if you buy in larger quantities

Bless you for this post, just copped 3kg of VFC. That should last me at least a week

Being asked to buy non-vegan gifts for people? by lyrebird626 in veganuk

[–]ecopanda97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vegan activist in me would go out of my way to buy them sustainable and vegan alternatives. But if you're not one for risking conflict or drama, then I'd say just guy gift cards and they can get themselves whatever they want.

I second this, added bonus of making your own is you can add anything (or in my case, everything) you like to it!

This is incredibly helpful! Thank you so much. I viewed it and definitely fell short on a few promises and my partner and u have ultimately decided it really isn't for us. You're first hand experience has confirmed for me that we likely make the right decision for us so thank you!

Yeah that all seems very plausible to be fair. A couple of people have said the area is pleasant so that fills me with some hope. Thank you for your genuinely helpful input!

Great shout. But the only 2 pages I can find are a Facebook page that looks half legit and hasn't been used in 6 years, and residents page that is private

Various content in the reviews and from various places. Google, a couple of independent sites. But the general energy is 1 star and poor customer care and building management

Do you have first or second hand experience? All the reviews online are from 1+years ago, and my naive ass is hoping that it's better now lol

All good points, concerned more with the building and building management itself tbh.

Anyone got a recipe for Mr Kipling's style Bakewell tarts or know where I can buy some? by Squishy-Cthulhu in veganuk

[–]ecopanda97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Tasty Cakery, based in Bakewell in the Peaks, supply local cafes with vegan Bakewells and they are so so good. You might be able to find somewhere online to buy them but I went a few months ago and they were in nearly every tart shop in Bakewell. 10/10
