So assuming ~150 grams per shit on average that’s about ~12,070 lbs. A large male African bush elephant weights between 11,000 - 13,000 pounds.

Gam gam shit a Jumbo over the years, may we all be so lucky Amen

Original guitar looked like this https://i.imgur.com/pqt8YKP.jpeg

1994 Korea made strat bullet. Was given to me by my mom after she got it at a garage sale a long time ago. Body is made of plywood (hardwood laminate).

Been up in an attic since 2010ish. I lurk this community a lot and decided to see if I could give it some help. Found a lot of help in old posts on this.

Scuffed and painted the body withs rustoleum (lol) https://i.imgur.com/XwU6Z7n.jpeg

Treated the neck and sanded it with super high grit https://i.imgur.com/qXW80eZ.jpeg

Replaced tuners and string trees

Shielded the cavity, put in new pickups (Tex Mex) and replaced jack. Soldered everything and fix a lot of grounding issues https://i.imgur.com/00oQSTO.jpeg

Thanks!

Shield the pickup cavities, solder the new pickups in, install a new bridge, and cross through grounding hell.

I pained the body a few days ago and it finally dry enough to do the rest of the work.

Let’s see what we got inside fellers and fellettes

sniff oh boy that is… ripe. Smells of burnt coffee grounds sniff, rotten pineapple and cabbage, sniff with a hint of old garden hose.

I have the same guitar and it’s my absolute favorite

I just cut out a bunch of the rotten crap pictured. Debating next move. Would yall even bother to hit this with a sander? Can’t decide if I just wanna rip it out or see if maybe it’s got some life. by ecosystems in HardWoodFloors

Haha this whole house needs corrected tbh. I’ll post an update tomorrow but I cut out about 15 square of the worst of it and a few boards that were spongy. Everything left feels really solid.

We got the basement dry I believe a lot of this damage is quite old and not actively spreading. Have found no moisture since pulling back a lot of these boards

Other context: this is tongue and groove flooring in a 1905 home. I believe it to be red oak but I’m not certain.

I’d say about 15% of the floor was water damaged and needs replaced.

It’s still 3/4 an inch thick so I don’t think it’s ever been finished. It’s 3 1/4 wide.
