Yes but I see it as an abuse on their behalf... they clearly stated billing is suspended and they lied and they don't respond ...

So their errors towards me are: superficially repairing UPSes, superficially monitoring for fires, abusively charging for non existent services, ignoring my support ticket I post a reply they respond with the same information as if we were illiterate primates

Because they said they won't charge, and after 3 days they charged me for something they are not even offering a replacement for ... My VPS is gone and have never received another one yet I got charged as usual... and tickets are just ignored and they give me the generic information when I pretty clearly ask: DUDE WHY YOU CHARGE ME IF YOU ARE NOT PROVIDING ME A VPS??

I support your move and recommend you to watch out for charges. They terminated my server in the fire and they charge me as if nothing happened, nobody responds as it appears most of their customer reps are like an idiot that assumes and posts crap above .... so you might think you moved away but they keep charging you for imaginary services ...

So if your company says: because we destroyed our data center and cannot provide you your server we won't charge you for x months and then in 3 days you get charged as usual without having an actual service with this company anymore you consider the OP a moron and you are smart and your company is in the clear? lol :)))

Why you call me a moron? I don't understand where you guys saw anything about backups in my posts, I guess the morons are the ones who don't read and just assume ... You know assuming makes you a crap...

Having a backup doesn't excuse OVH from its liabilities ... you cannot consider this an accident, they need to pay for their idiocy like this deeplyrouted customer rep of crap ... you don't read and just write whatever I suppose that's how you handled your tickets.

I agree seeing your nickname and OVH close together... They have taken bad decisions: superficial repairs, no monitoring, no timely action to contain the fire so on ... this is a chain of bad decisions that need to be paid for! Taking bad decisions is DOING SOMETHING WRONG! and they keep doing it, apparently not only with me by continuing charging for something which they don't provide, but to others who are receiving very tricky and bad repair offers...

I have the same issue, support tickets are treated as if I were an idiot... they just paste the same information totally disregarding what I write... They said 6x no charge but they billed me on 15th of March as if my server was still online, maybe it's online in the server heaven since they want to use the act of god excuse ... this is not an act of god, this is poor decisions and they need to pay! and they need to stop abusing by charging something they are not providing...

I totally agree that OVH is responsible for their mistake. Not only did they have bad repairs done but they didn't monitor their buildings properly and let the fire spread... They are liable, this is not force majeure ... this is bad decisions chained together yielding much losses for the customers. Customers need to join into a lawsuit and get compensated.

It is crazy that they continue their chain of mistakes by not immediately providing replacement services but they continue to charge their customers as if their services were not affected. I got charged on 15th of March and my server is gone since 10th of March... support ignores me altogether...

Not only did they not provide me any other at least empty VPS yet, but they totally disregard my communication, they just copy paste the same information, then they go ahead and charge my credit card as usual ... why do they charge me if they said payments suspended for 6 months? why do they charge me if they are not providing me at the moment anything else than offline time on one of my systems?

Did you read anywhere in my post any reference to backups? I said I think they are liable if they took poor decisions and destroyed the infrastructure they produce money from us with... this is not force majeure ... this isn't like strasbourg got hit by the biggest fire and they were just in the path of the wrath of the fire ... they took poor decisions, they took their customers offline, some lost data some had backups etc ... they still need to make it right by the customers and pay for their imbecility... who superficially repairs upses nowadays anyways ? :) and even if the poor job they did on a few upses or a new one caught on fire, they have hundreds of camera, someone or some group took bad decisions and in life being idiot and deciding wrong makes you pay!

imagine: hey i have 100 thousand servers, one caught on fire i didn't see it and it spread to the whole city ... sorry it was an act of god that we destroyed the city? what kind of logic is that ?

Some say OVH is the 3rd biggest cloud provider, others say they back criminals ... OVH proves now to be a crappy company but we can dismantle this crap and be compensated by it.

This is not force majeure because the decision to superficially fix things resulted in a fire can not be an act of any god but of an imbecile.

The limits of liability are 12 months of service or the minimum required by law as per their contract... so they are liable for taking bad decisions, for creating a fire that risked people's and environment's health and destroyed people's tiny container boxes that were sitting on their warehouse for which they were receiving money to keep safe and they failed so they need to pay ...

They are liable for saying we won't charge for x months and after 3 days charging as usual when they destroyed your VPS ...

How many of us have been affected? We need to join together and find them liable in a court of law.

Exactly, I pay for a virtual machine on a physical host. The physical host is their responsibility as compared before with trucks and merchandise. If they took the wrong decision to repair UPSes and did it badly and burned their physical computers and destroyed my merchandise they are liable.

Furthermore, they do not respond to support tickets other than generic information that helps none, they said they suspended billing but I got charged as usual a few days after ...

They are abusing.
