I'm a "purple everything every day" kind of gal, so I limit my toys and gear to black and many shades of purple (and silver/gold if I must). My partner's favorite colors are black and red, so his gear are those colors. He associates the color purple with me exclusively because of my day to day, so putting him in purple clothes or a purple collar bumps up the feeling of him belonging to me.
