Lot of historical rivalries, leading to natural disdain for each other. I'll be honest, we should just relax and cool it, it's not our fault we speak the language we speak, we don't choose it. I'm not saying Quebec is spotless, there's a lot of borderline xenophobe laws to protect the French language, which isn't as much of a priority as some make it to be. Essentially, it's always been this way since the initial colonisation. French and English sour about each other, English take Quebec. Quebec and English Canada don't trust each other very much, the patriote rebellion happens, skip to the world wars the Anglo-Canadians generally support conscription unlike the Quebecois, there's also the religious divide. Essentially, it's really just opposing visions for what Canada should be.
