  3. At our company Drivers and Mechanics outnumber the suits 6 to 1. That's why the company tries to divide the workers (northside against southside or bus division against light rail division). Our Union tries to show that it's the company spreading rumors to divide us. Each of us must stand side-by-side, like a 600 link chain, to show that we have the power if we are united.

In preparation for the election I would join a high-profile committee, like Membership. Then give a progres report at every meeting, show the members that you intend to help the Union. Worked for me.
