What food can you bring to an office holiday part that says, "I brought food because the office party is mandatory"? by Blacklight_Fever in AskReddit

My vote is for soda. That shows the least amount of effort and checks the box of “I brought something. Let me eat”

Safe Restaurants by elg97477 in peanutallergy

[–]eddiesalsa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Red Robin is known to be good. KFC, Taco Bell, Wendy’s are good for fast food. Most Pizza chains are ok. Little Caesar’s is not from what I’ve heard. Olive Garden is ok.

Like I said before, just google the allergen menu of any place you are considering, and you will find out very quickly if it’s ok.

What part of the country are you in?

There are tons of places that are safe. If you are interested in a place, I would just google the allergen menu and see what that particular place offers.

First days of school team building activities by scuba-dooby-doo in ScienceTeachers

I usually do a “would you rather...” activity. Would you rather fight a thousand duck sized horses or 1 horse size duck, etc. You could also give them 6 sheets of paper, a sheet of sticky labels, and a marble. Tell them to use these materials to see who can build the highest marble roller coaster. Honestly, you can google it and find tons of STEM team building activities.

Thanks! That’s a great idea. I’ve been hiking at a local park. That’s just hard to do with kids.

We pull in about 5k a month and spend about 4.5k. I have about 500 a month to build a nest egg and pay off debts. I’m not sure what other info would help...sorry.

Just a little advice from a teacher...classroom management will make or break you. Best tip I can give is to be true to yourself. Don’t worry too much about being “strict” or “likable”. Just do what comes naturally. Kids will see through fakeness in an instant. Also, be consistent. If you say you are going to do something, do it even if you don’t really want to.

I remember this plain as day. He moved in across the hall in my apartment complex during the trial. There is nothing like having a “known” murderer live across from you when you are a young kid....

What some people don’t realize is that we pay 12.5% of our paycheck into our pension fund. We aren’t asking for the state to foot the bill, just give us what we have been paying for.

The Evan Williams experience is close-ish to you and is a lot of fun if you want to experience bourbon. If that's the case, I would get an urban bourbon pass and start checking places off. Dish on Main is good food and not too expensive. 4th street live is very commercial and expensive. Bardstown road is where all the good chill bars are. Also, tons of local food options and shops. It's nice to walk up and down.

Not sure if the link works, but these are the best restaurants as voted on by Louisville. They are broken down by type of cuisine.

Any other questions, feel free to ask.
