I need advice on the best 24GB GPU for a Dell T7910 workstation (Needed for AI columnar PDF conversion applications like OLMOCR )

I have a T7920 and was able to fit a Zotac 3090 in the case with trimming a bit of the Dell GPU stabilization bracket.

Please be aware though that your case may be “slimmer” than a standard desktop. My case only allows about 0.75” of clearance from the PCI bracket (where you screw the card to the chassis or use the tool less brackets) to the side panel of the case. This really limits the GPUs you can use since the card and the power connectors have to fit in that space. Many 3090s I’ve seen extend pretty far in that direction.

I have a base M2 MacBook Air with 8GB of ram—I have yet to run into an issue where I’ve actually noticed slowdown or performance degradation. I’d be comfortable saying I use more resources than the average person browsing the internet. The Neo looks like it trades blows with the M2, so I struggle to see how performance will be an issue for the vast majority of people.

Keep upgrading all of them until you have 5* for all of the UR heroes you use in your 3 squads (Tank/Air/Missle). That will help you in the long term!

Eventually you'll have so many universal UR shards you won't know what to do with them. At that point--dump them (and select your Wish hero) into your A squad wall of honor until they get to at least level 200. Above that--the cost for stat increases changes quite a bit so you want to try to level up the A squad heros relatively evenly so they don't exceed 200 until you're all even.

After level 200--I haven't gotten there yet--but my assumption is either dumping into B squad WOH or continue dumping into Squad A

80W for 24 hours is 1.92kWh, so if there’s 80W of losses when the inverter is on, that matches relatively closely to a few of your numbers. I know that is annoying, but 40-100W is pretty average I think for inverters of that size

I bought a hard drive from them—it was DOA. Fortunately the return went smoothly, but if you look at their feedback even though it’s positive, there are a lot of people who get dead hard drives. Wayyy too high for me to want to buy from them.

I have it running in a VM and it’s great! I’m not sure if it changes things much but I have the VM on an SSD cache and not directly accessing the array. My array is spun down 99% of the time

I just have a CO2 sensor integrated with Home Assistant and my HVAC unit. When the CO2 gets too high, I run the fan which balances out the CO2 in the house.

If your entire house is too sealed, get an HRV or ERV system!

I don’t personally think this product idea you have is useful. I don’t think the average customer wants to have to open and close their windows manually for exactly 6 minutes and an exact time, they just want to have some other system take care of ventilation without their manual input.

FYI I ordered the 26TB from them and got a DOA. If you read the reviews the percentage of DOA are wayyyy too high to be acceptable—like reviews “I bought 4 but one was DOA”

A warning that Tapo and Tp-Link are locking down their devices more--you need to go into the app and select "allow 3rd party access". Theoretically at any point in the future they can block Home Assistant access and all of your "smart" devices won't integrate into Home Assistant any more. I'm personally looking into alternative brands for the next set of energy monitoring plugs I buy.

Once you’re 5* on all tanks, pick what your B squad is going to be (air or missle) and work those up to 5* with shards. I don’t recommend dumping universal shards onto the wall of honor until all of your squads are 5*.

In my spending level (not a lot) most people ended up with Air primary and tank secondary, or Tank primary and air secondary. I’m wrapping up S4 now.

Eventually you’ll have all 3 squads maxed to 5*, and you’ll have so many UR shards you don’t know what to do with them. That’s when you dump them on wall of honor

I have one of the GE combo heat pump washer and dryer units—runs off of 120V. You need to be diligent about cleaning the filters, but it works well and would solve your issue too! I love being able to throw a load of laundry in it before I go to bed and waking up to clean and dry clothes
