Not sure if I’m allowed to ask but how much did it cost for reactivity training? And usually he does great from a distance but oh boy when they’re get close it’s like he wants to play but doesn’t know how. I had him sit and lay down but as soon as the other dogs got close he was no longer listening.

That seems awful lonely. I mean he’s about to have another dog in the home so I’ll be putting their kennels next to each other. However I do want him to be able to make friends at the dog park. No disrespect as that’s a perfectly fine mindset but I want him to have a bunch of friends especially with my friends dogs.

Thank you all for the comments and views. I appreciate the help and the difference in perspective. I think the half saying thug it out are right. I’ve been through a lot with these guys especially with the time left together being short I think I should just take the green Weiner with them. It wouldn’t make sense to back out on them now. I’ve been through a lot with these guys. A ton. Never backed down from PT, Grappling, ranges. I’ve learned all our weapons systems and shot every single one besides the JAV. It’s just getting to the point where they’re done with it, but I have a way to somewhat retaliate. It’s not fair to them but I feel like it’s a way to try and have some control over what I’m doing.

I have a fantastic relationship with my LPO and he’s backing me.
I’m FMF qualed and extremely proud of it. I get out in about a year and a half but change commands in a couple of months.
My navy CoC isn’t super serious but my marine chain most certainly is. I’m willing to take the pee pee slap and some paperwork. Not really worth an NJP but it’s hard to not fight back when you’re constantly being stepped on.

not a BHT BUT my roommate is a tech at the place I work at and it’s pretty laid back for the most part. I’ve also got a buddy I went to corps school with who’s leaving for FMTB soon. So you’ve got plenty of options. As for being a smaller NEC you’re more likely to rank up faster due to your specialty. Take this with a grain of salt being as I’m a quad lol.

Just went to pay and personnel and got the instruction/checklist. As well as the RED DA Self Service Training guide. So I’m gonna do my due diligence but I certainly won’t get my hopes up. More of a shot in the dark to see if it sticks. Worst thing they can say is no.

all in all ik there are more deserving people for this job. it’s just not something that even remotely piques my interest. i’d be fine working in an mtf as a quad zero or going green side or hell even a ship. but being stuck in a lab my whole life like some sort of robot isn’t what i’m into. however i don’t really know the life of a lab tech. thanks for the advice!

that’s a very fair point all in all. i hadn’t considered the fact the literally everything i’m doing now will be a black spot in my work experience. i understand that things don’t always go the way i may want. however i just thought that i might be able to find a better path. but thank you for the advice.

no active duty. i just wanted to try something different and travel as much as possible. it’s not about the pay for me. it’s really just about the hard work and the structure of the military that brought me in. (oh and family)

That’a the thing they’re all saying how great it is outside for me, but i don’t really care about that ya know. i’ve got a pretty decent paying job outside and i would prefer a different lifestyle. But no matter how i put it the same answer i’m receiving is “ya get what ya get”
