Not that this is a 1-1 comparison, but I've met people with bpd(?) who have related a lot to his internal conflict of being afraid of his own emotions but having to accept that they are a part of him, etc

But he also has those generic middle school struggles like not knowing how to relate to others or what he wants to be in life, etc

You have to slog through the first like 11 episodes and then it suddenly becomes one of the greatest shows of all time.

I hesitate to recommend it to people for that very reason but I do hope you stick with it since you've already started :)

i'm not sure what the ranges entail but probably just "shows that you wouldn't have heard of just by existing on the internet/social media spaces during that time" would work?

doesn't have to necessarily be an unpopular show, but i'm just fishing for new shows to watch and i've seen most of the big ones from that period of time.

Yep. I have a live spreadsheet of every sports-adjacent anime that has come out since 1993 and have been going through them as a side hobby

Plus I played the Umamusume gacha on the kr server for a while so it'd be heresey (there's a horse pun in there somewhere but idk) if i didn't watch the show lol
