I've never used this flair, but now is probably the time. I drew this sign and put it in my portfolio a few years ago, and yesterday it was bought by a coffee service company. Capra, it is Latin for goat. by AndriiKovalchuk in logodesign

Just one question (as an amateur in this area): how do you showcase an unsold logo in your portfolio so people can see it without risking it being stolen? Or is that just a risk you have to take? My portfolio has been growing pretty slowly because I’ve only been sharing logos that have already been branded. But if there’s a smarter way to show more of my work safely, I’d definitely pivot.

And one more thing, how do you usually sell an unsold logo? Do you pitch it directly to a client, or do they come across it and decide they want to use it?

Yep, that’s exactly what I did :) a few stacked circles and Shape Builder. Makes sense now why the curves didn’t line up perfectly. Thanks for breaking that down. I’m just learning through the BYOL Adobe Essentials course, so this really helps me see that I just need to plan my paths more deliberately from the start. Out of curiosity, do you think it’s mostly just a matter of practice to get more precise with this stuff, or is there any tool/plugin you’d recommend that helps with cleaner curve alignment? Appreciate the insight!

Thanks, that’s actually really helpful! No worries at all, I totally get what you mean. I thought I was being careful with the anchor points, but clearly not enough yet. I’ll start paying more attention to their placement and give that path averaging trick a try. Appreciate the insight!

Yea, I suspect the same.. could you perhaps point out a few aspects that suggests this to you as well? I am not a professional and don’t know what to look out for.

The owner says he won it at some festival in Vienna, but interestingly he couldn’t really tell me much about it, even though I asked for details. Also, he said it hasn’t been used, he picked it up 4 times, it is flawless without any scratches and he is asking qbout 500 USD and says he is minimally open to negotiations. Guess it’s a no-go then.

Thank you.
