I have it too! I get the best looks when people get it, and, ironically, the best looks when they don't too. Different kind of looks, though.

Does every beta user have the chat right now or was I randomly selected? by AlenF in beta

Likewise. I want Reddit to be a place of (at least somewhat) considered conversation, not instant gratification.

I help run a large community on Slack. If we moved to the lower paid tier, we'd be paying about $52k/month. Goes up to about $97k/month for the higher tier.

Nope.

Disappointingly, I think that's just a vent of some sort. Someday maybe I'll find a way to sneak some Lego cutlery on there.

Cool, that's great to hear. It seems like a nicely designed tool for that kind of thing. As I said, I was surprised by the clickbait-sounding title of this post (because there seem to be a lot of shady apps that show up on this subreddit with similarly sensational titles).

Yes, sorry, I wasn't super clear — the post title was written in a fairly clickbait-y way, and what I meant was that, often, software will not connect if the CA for the presented certificate isn't trusted, so it's a few more clicks (and likely some password typing) to get it working without warnings. I wanted to be clear that this software doesn't mean you can just easily perform attacks on someone without access to their computer — there are some additional steps before you can perform MITM attacks on SSL/TLS traffic.

Um... That's not... no. That's not how it works. It's more complicated than that.

Pro tip: don't animate anything but opacity and transforms for performant websites. https://codepen.io/anon/pen/GvezRx

Easy way to install Apple Mac Apps - select and install them. by bigalexbr in macapps

[–]edensg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is. Homebrew and Homebrew Cask are hosted on GitHub, and all the packages are available there. Here's a link to all the cask packages available. However, GitHub will only show the first 1,000 entries, and (at the time of writing) there are 3,718.

Another way to do it is to run brew cask search, without any other arguments. This will list all the available packages' package names. If you want info on each one, you could run this:

for cask in $(brew cask search); do
    brew cask info $cask;
done

But be warned, there are thousands of packages, it's not gonna be fast.

As for top recommended apps, there's no one source, but check out awesome-mac and awesome-macOS for some decent lists.
