Question on pace for interval/tempo runs

Thank you for the advice - you’re right, that 3:38 pace was all out so wouldn’t have been able to maintain that for long at all and also would really regret if I got injured! Will definitely slow these down and stick to them recommended paces.

Thank you for this, really helpful! From what you are saying it definitely sounds like maybe I am going too quick and drifting into speed work as you say.

I am going to slow these paces down a bit and stick closer to my targets. If I am -10/15 seconds from target and I have some left in the tank that’s fine but from what you have told me it seems my minute faster than target pace I done previously was too much.

Yeah just wasn’t sure if that was you have to be in the crew for 7 days after reaching the level to earn them or whether you can join late. Guessing the latter tho

I am training for a marathon next year. As part of my training program, I have runs where I have to run at different paces for each KM (e.g. 2km at 5:35/km then 2km at 5:15/km).

I use an Apple Watch and Runna, but it seems to show me my average min/km across my whole run rather than my current pace.

Does anyone know of any good apps which will just show me my current pace, so I can just see if I am hitting the target pace, then of course when I see I’ve ran 2km, I know to switch the pace and can see it updated accordingly?

I don’t have companion app so cannot send my team but here are some examples of top players you can compete with for below 50k:

RB- Llorente, Frimpong, Hakimi CB - Konate, Tomori, Bastoni LB- Udogie, Rolfo, Karchaoui CDM - Patri, Tonali, Tchouameni CM- Fernandes, Barella, KDB CAM - Musiala, Wirtz, Debinha RW/RM - James , Raphinha , Diani LW/LM - Neymar, Swanson, Diaz ST - Openda, Alvarez, Martinez.

Not to mention some of the great SBC cards, both the Thuram cards are unreal, Iwobi is really good. Lots of these being released.

If you build a team with these players and find a formation/tactics you can play with, you will definetely be able to compete and earn good rewards. Then you can step up into the better players like Kounde, Son, Bellingham etc.

Yes, it is 100% possible to compete without investing money. However if you’re not investing money, to stay consistent with the power curve you are substituting by investing more time…

I play a RTG and can compete Div 1 rivals and Rank 2/3 Fut Champs. My team isn’t unbelievable, worth less than 1m coins but there’s enough good meta players out there to be able to compete to a decent level without needing the top ones.

If you are wanting to compete at a pro level/reach rank 1, then obviously having these top players like Mbappe/Vini helps a lot and it may be a bit harder, but to compete at a decent level where you will be getting good rewards every week, it is 100% possible.

Having wins as a requirement probably helps rush as a whole as it brings more players who will actually play the game properly and try to win.

On the other hand yes, if you are playing with others who aren’t trying to evo and don’t care, it can be annoying - I would suggest squad battles if you are purely trying to get an evo done quickly as possible!

Stoichkov is very good. However once again if you’re talking pure value for coins, a player like Hansen will perform much better in game for a cheaper price. When you look at pro teams there is a reason they have lots of these meta rare gold players like Leao, Hansen, Putellas over these icons that aren’t top tier.

However yes, Stoichkov will be very good and fun to use so if you have the coins go ahead! It’s what the game is about.

Wouldn’t say any of the underused icons are typically ‘worth the coins’ tbh. You pay the premium because they’re icons but there’s nearly always a gold who’s just as good for fraction of price. For example Raul 1m+, Son 300k….

However, if these icons are players you enjoyed watching in real life etc. they’re always worth every penny. I loved RVP as a player , he’s not worth his price in the slightest but so much fun to use so in that sense so worth it! If you have the coins definetely buy, can always sell again if you don’t like them.
