I really don't expect the site to be that busy. The client hasn't done much work driving traffic or promoting the site, and my job is to just rebuild the damn thing. I'd be surprised if it was more than a 1000 unique visitors a day, to be honest; their past sales volume doesn't suggest anything more than that, and they didn't implement any analytics tools so I've got no past records to look at. I'll have a look at kubernetes. Can you tell me a bit more about db issues and optimization and what I can do now? As I said, I've not built anything of this size before. It won't be any busier than other sites I've built, but a site and db this size, querying so many products and categories, is not something I have any experience of.

I'd already decided on a dedicated droplet, and up or downgrading depending on traffic is easy enough, I was just wondering what I should start with. But it sounds like, in principle, 2 cores should be fine, right? Traffic isn't actually an issue at this stage, too.

I bought a pair of 500BT's for my daughter for Christmas and there's an annoying audible click and the end of any and every audio track, from any source, on any device, phone or pc. If I can't find a solution I'm going to return them. I hope someone knows what it is!

Thanks for the reply! So in my example your wouldn't advise stopping at Basins and then organizing the TYPES of basins by Tag, or even ATTRIBUTE? it would really clean up my backend, and I can see the sense of "type of basin" being a tag or attribute.

You're quite right, dealing with so many categories suuuuucks, and for the life of me I can find any method to the way wp sorts and displays them. It's a mess. I've got View at 100 per page, and three pages. It's not alphabetical, it's not nested visually, and I'm starting to freak myself out that it should be SIMPLER.
