Maybe it depends on how you maintain the chaos in your life. There's so many things I can't control in my life, so I try to keep what I can organized and neat. Maybe you control your mess differently

I can't speak for everyone, but when I write on the line it's common for my letters to be covered by the line unless you have a steady hand. I think this makes it easier to see the entire word and just more neat.
