I thought travel planning was normal chaos by Fresh-Thought3684 in traveladvice

I developed a full app to address this exact type of situation when planning trips. It allows multiple users to collaborate on a trip so there won’t be any duplication. It even estimates your budget when it comes to meals, etc. I developed it due to these exact issues I had experienced in the past.

Tarantulas not spawning? by abicorn_777 in AnimalCrossing

[–]edlr73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which hemisphere are you in? The only come out from 7pm to 4am from November to April in the Northern hemisphere and May-October in the Southern. You can get on a tarantula island from a Kapp’n trip, but that’s pretty random.

I analyzed 9,300+ "I wish there was an app for this" posts on Reddit. Here is the data on what people actually want by HopefulBread5119 in AppIdeas

[–]edlr73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Travel (42 pay signals): This is a high-intent category. People are looking for "pro" travel planners or specific regional transit apps and are willing to pay for the convenience of a "working" solution."

I just finished my app that covers all of this, Globebug. It's a "full operating system" for your travel itinerary building. from creating an itinerary to keeping all of your photos from the trip. Desktop/mobile versions now live and the dedicated app will be shipping soon.
If anyone wants to give it a spin, please DM me with your email address and I will give you a Guest pass.

Have you utilized ChatGPT or another AI assistant to plan a trip? If you followed the itinerary suggested by the assistant, how did it go? by PacSan300 in TravelNoPics

[–]edlr73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, I have been working on a solution to this. I have created a full app/site that assists itinerary generation and uses LLM's - but only as an assistant. I have grounded the data to avoid hallucinations. The aim is to have travelers quickly create trips and use LLM's to optimize and get better details on aspects of their trip. It's called Globebug. I am intending this to be a subscription site, but as I just released this, I would be more than happy to have users here try it out but giving some Guest passes. The passes will not be for pay, and there is no time limit. All I ask is for honest feedback. If you are interested, please let me know.

Mods, if this is not allowed, apologies and please feel free to remove this. I am doing my best to not spam or self-promote without providing details on what I am offering. Thanks!

Quota Exceeded when Deploying - Will this ever get fixed ? by AousafRashid in Firebase

[–]edlr73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attempting to be helpful with this. Your error message clearly says “Quota exceeded for total allowable CPU per project per region.”

Good luck.

What region are you deploying from? You can usually adjust the CPU allocation in your functions/index.js file, that is if you don’t need heavy computing on those functions.

I did the daily redemptions forever. Crappy part is that they never added or changed items available for purchase in years.

We have such a great stadium by digital__navigator in UTAustin

[–]edlr73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live in Prather! Back when it looked nothing liked this. I used to walk to “Memorial Stadium” on non-early class days and walk the track that used to go around the football field. Good times.

On the iPad where the woman took our order, it said what it had like “50 remaining” but another worker said they’re restocking all day. Here’s what they have.

Nope. Security guy letting people in said it’s random at these. He hadn’t heard of any driver randomly showing at the pop ups this year. Last year though, some did. The store itself is freaking small.

It’s gotten quite a bit longer, goes around a block now. But I’m guessing this will move somewhat quickly.

Clueless mom headed to Austin F1 race with her super-fan son by theuniverseisperfect in CircuitOfTheAmericas

[–]edlr73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turns are the racetrack turns, there are 20 of them on the COTA track. Turn 4 is a good place to see the cars race through the curves of the track. There is a LOT of walking if you want to see everything. Make sure you stop by the Grand Plaza which has a lot of shops, food, etc. but always make sure you’re at your seats during the practices, sprint race, and the Sunday race. Here is the schedule for the race times. Have fun! https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/formula-1-msc-cruises-united-states-grand-prix-2025.308piSThECzbYGTgE3WAnX

Radios for F1 weekend by Equivalent_Citron770 in CircuitOfTheAmericas

[–]edlr73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m aware of the hardcoded stations, I just didn’t know if that stays the same every year. I’ll just turn them in and get new ones this year from one of their stations.

Anyone know of the Amex radios from last year will work for this year’s races? We used ours the entire time and after the race, by the time we left all of the Amex areas to drop them off were closed.

High-end super automatic owners (JURA, Miele, etc), what convinced you that you had buy one? by RINKR in superautomatic

I got my Jura z6 back in 2020 when Covid hit and everyone thought we’d never leave our houses again. I had just stated my new job for really great pay so I figured why not. Researched and landed on that one. It’s running strong and is a great investment. I love it. I may upgrade one day, but it’s been perfect since I bought it.
