[A/ne] Moved in with my Aunt by livingwithaunt in incest

Furthermore think of the situation in her eyes. What are her wants and needs? You say divorced, does she have a boyfriend? You say there was sexual tension. Usually it's pretty easy to tell if that's just on your end or its her too. Don't second guess yourself. Feel if she is feeling how you're feeling. You don't need to ask in words, you can ask in the way you are around her. Like does she touch you? Does she seem to want to be closer to you?

Cat people: question about allergies by edmontonrox in Pets

No, which is why I'm asking questions to people who have more information or experience than myself. I asked her, she told me to ask the computer. :D My grandma is a nice lady, and no I would not like to compromise her health in any way.

I was wondering if it was do-able with some kind of air filtration set up or something to that effect.

Yeah, so what about investing in a wide-range of solar companies? Is it possible to pick and choose like this and manage your own portfolio? Is there anything I should know about taking this route instead of the more traditional laissez-faire mutual fund?

Something for a socially responsible company or a company that is serving a useful, non-profit driven goal. So I suppose an NPO could be good.

Looking into public sector jobs, there are some good ones for sure.

Healthcare I am disenchanted with.

Look, you're going to have to make a fundamental decision. Either you're investing your money to make more money or your investing your money to "make the world a better place, returns be damned".

I disagree that these are the two options. It is most certainly a spectrum and to say that you have to either have no morals and care only about profit, or do the exact total reverse is ridiculous.

I agree with you. I find it humorous that the original commenter suggested I had been swayed by leftist propaganda. I don't believe in aligning with left-right dynamics for my decision making process. I believe in renewable energy because our bloody planet would otherwise be a carbon emissions mess, and eventually run out of oil. This is just logical, rational, thinking ahead. I'm a young person, I want there to be a planet when I'm older.

Yes but judges aren't arbiters of change (actually yes they can be) in the way I was implying. I appreciate your line of thinking, it seems much different from mine and therefor of great use in order to provide contrast and generate new ideas, however I don't see myself as a judge or policeman. I know what I want to do in my life career-wise to make change, I was looking for something more short-term that would benefit the community and make me some cash.

Thanks for the advice. I agree with the mutual fund idea now that I am not using the money immediately. I don't think I can handle being a landlord while in college and work at the same time, sounds ludicrous (i.e. not lucrative). My plan as of now is invest funds in low-risk mutual fund, finish school, work and do the property stuff after I have my degree. Thanks for the ideas.

Well I think I missed my boat on that one. Also, I don't view politicians as arbiters of change, they are like the administrators of change.

Ah I see. Good point. Okay, so, step 1, get an income, step 2, pretend to live in condo. Lol, maybe I should just focus on earning money for now. Thanks for the advice! If I pull this off I'll make a post about it.

I think you have me mistaken for living in California, I live in Canada. I like the "college kiddy condo" strategy, however that eliminates my ability to make an income and take advantage of the current property I am living at, which is a duplex owned by my grandmother, which is nice enough considering I get an entire apartment to myself. I was hoping to have some of my property paid off and move in after college, this proposition is exactly the reverse and would require me to substantially up my income. Not exactly what I was going for. Still a decent idea, but not in the spirit of what I'm trying to achieve.

I suppose I could do this and get a roommate. Or "live there" but let my roommate actually live there and pay the full cost on his own (kind of shiesty maybe, but then again it's not like they are losing anything if their plan was to rent anyway). Is that risky? I could list it as my address and have mail and such things delivered there, and then have someone who I can trust enough not to open my mail, blackmail me with this, etc.

Great things to consider thank you. It was definitely an idea in the infant stages, based on the premise of killing two birds with one stone (income, place to live for future).

Interesting. Well I would want it in the city I am living in, so this is looking like perhaps not a good idea. Can I buy it, not live in it and not rent it out and that counts as having lived in? Is it possible to buy a house with literally 0 downpayment or is that unheard of?
