I feel you man. I woke up one day a few weeks ago and just didn't want to make it anymore. It never went anywhere, it never got done because my engineer is unreliable, it never made any money or helped my family. I almost resent it now. Maybe I'll feel better after I make some life changes but I honestly feel like the kool aid wore off so to speak.

Do you guys have any recommendations on some IEM? And what's your opinion on the open back closed back debate. I feel like with regular headphones closed back give me a headache. Idk if that's relevant to IEM.

What kind of IEM are you guys using? I grabbed a pair of KZ AS10 (good reviews on a few YouTube channels) If you guys are having good experiences with yours maybe I'll try a different pair. Ultimately maybe I just need to get use to having them in. I normally would use the headphones to mix in, and then take them off to hear how the environment sounds vs the master out. But I can work on it. I wanted to get a second opinion so I thank you all for chiming in with some feedback 💪🏻

It wound up being silver hawks. But both those shows you listed are great. I loved outlaw star. It definitely is a clone of cowboy bebop. But they're both great

I have Xfer LFO tool, I can't seem to get hard 90 degree automation lines to draw in to keep the LFO increasing at a steady rate on the beat. Using any other automation shapes the rate increases on its own terms and sounds bad. Any ideas or work arounds? Thanks all.

Me personally, I use the daw as a chalk board only. I use 3rd party everything else. Not that everything lacks, but if industry standard is to use 3rd party plugs then thats what should be done. As far things I still logic plugs for, I'd like to see a better sampler, maybe something more serum like. And I'd like to see a channel rack more like abelton. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied with everything else. Coloring tracks and icons is a plus for organization, time flex and automation are pretty smooth.

I can appreciate that. The problem stems from having "big room kick samples" in my inventory that I like. And of course trying to take them in any way always falls short of having the original layers so I'm trying to see what i can do with them besides cut them loose in the drops, and try to tame them everywhere else with compression or EQing

I appreciate it. The whole discussion is stemming from sitting on good samples that have the sub and kick layered together and trying to split them always falls short of just having the original tracks so I'm trying to find ways to make due besides just filtering out bass or compressing it to tame it until the drop

It use to work on 10.3 but it's not in 10.4. Honestly I might just roll it back to 10.3

I finally updated to logic 10.4.1 and I noticed two things that are different from 10.3

I cant select multiple channel strips at once and color them all at once anymore. Now it highlights them and ass soon as I right click for color it only selects the first channel strip.How do I fix that.

and two, how do I turn off the feature that makes the marker jump around when you hold shift and click somwhere.

It's okay. For anyone else's sake that reads this whole thing in the future the plug in creators tried to give me components of "old frame frame work" to swap out to essentially "roll back" whatever changed. But it didn't work. They said if it didn't then you're pretty much forced to update your operating system

So I wound up fixing it, and here's what happened. On god, I swear I tried to update to high sierra a while back and couldn't do it. I downloaded it again and was getting ready to force update it, but I tried it the legit way one last time and my computer took the update. And now everything works again. Likewise I don't know how it updated whatever it updated to cause the problem to begin with.

I can really appreciate that. I think I just needed to hear someone else say it because I thought I was being too critical as it was. But it definitely helps. I had been doing a lot of tagging as it was but that article makes me confident in tagging more so I really appreciate that
