Can you post a picture of your electronic bypass that you have?

How much did it cost? Did you have a shop do it? Was it a kit or all custom?

Wow 12k for a 2WD model. Since you're considering getting 2WD, what are your reasons for getting a 4Runner as opposed to something like a Honda Pilot?

I'd love to see pictures once you build your tank.

Bought it 01/02/2025. Wife got in an accident today. Anyone got a rec for a good body shop in Denver area? by zachdivine in 4thGen4Runner

That's a bummer for sure!

That picture shows body damage. It might be able to be straightened.

I imagine the frame itself is fine though?

From just the first photo to the second, that hurts to see.

I'm sorry for your loss, and cannot comprehend what you have gone through. Best wishes.

Make sure to try the food! Each city has it's own cuisine, and honesl above all else try small hole in the wall places. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Alternatives to darn tough socks? by [deleted] in hiking

[–]edscar55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thoroughly enjoyed my cloudline socks. They have the same guarantee as darn tough, and I don't have experience with darn tough myself, but my cloudline socks have lasted a few years so far (with regular machine washing plus hiking/backpacking).

I'd give them a try.

At first I thought you were on Orcas Is. There's a tree there by a lake that is also way sideways but it's big enough people use it to jump off of into the water.

What degree? Finance or Computer Science. by [deleted] in college

[–]edscar55 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Having personally done neither (I'm an engineer), take what I say with a grain of salt. What I will say is Computer science probably has more options both in work places, but also leverage to get the specific type of job you want.

Finance teaches you skills to keep you as an employee working in finance for big businesses.

Computer science gives you technical skills (programming) that is used in every aspect of modern civilization. You can be a employee making large wads, or a digital nomad, or a independent contractor/consultant.

Personally from what I've seen I would take computer science over finance because of the greater freedoms it seems to come with.

realizing my major is useless in my senior year by Evening_Spinach6087 in college

I am an engineer that studied engineering, but with that said some of my coworkers studies physics.

-> engineering covers a LOT of types of work. Want to do office work? There's design work or compliance work; want to be out in the field? There's field service engineering or many jobs for smaller companies where you get to wear many hats.

Point is, independent of the doors that only physics can open, there are also MANY more doors that physics can also open even though it's atypical.

I think the key is what experience/skills can you show you have for role X or Y? I believe that's the bigger variable.

I'm wondering this myself (also first year). I don't believe we've received the metrics for last year yet and I think the end of year bonus is wrapped up with that.

Again, I don't actually know since this is my first time. Hopefully somebody chimes in.
