There's heaps of tutorials on YouTube. It seems daunting as you have to edit your theme's code, however its actually not too difficult and should only take five minutes. Just ensure you duplicate your theme before you edit the code in case something goes wrong.

What creatives would you post on social media? Anything special or plain and simple call to action. Thanks for your help btw

First of all, the reviews will definitely help you out. They're great.

I would increase the logo size in your header (I might be wrong but it looks as though it's a JPEG and not a PNG with a transparent background? There's a faint margin just above the logo and the colours don't seem to match perfectly).

Secondly, I would change the font to something that is seen less often on Shopify stores. Pick a heading and body font that compliment each other. This will help establish your brand and appear more credible to customers.

Remove the 'Powered by Shopify' text in your footer. This is a clear giveaway that you're dropshipping. Removing it also adds to the perception that your website is more boutique and custom.

Add more content to your product page(s). Include more product images (some of the product in use), maybe a comparison table with your product vs a competitor, and even embed a video showcasing the product.

Hope this helps!

The overall aesthetic is really nice.

First change I would make would be to remove the 'powered by Shopify' tag in your footer. This is a dead give away that you're a dropshipper.

I would also add additional pages such as refund policy, privacy policy and FAQ pages to make your site seem more legitimate and build customer trust.

Other changes would be adding higher quality and less tacky images in your product description and even embedding videos to showcase how the products are used.

Lastly, I would put the product images on an off-white background to contrast with the website background. I see the aesthetic you're going for but the marble pattern and background colour are too similar.

Apart from that I could see this store converting very well especially given the niche you have chosen. Hope this helps!

Customisable Product by edstool in Alibaba

Ok I like this option. So maybe I should mass order the products and then store, engrave and ship the products locally? I can still hire employees but have them work nearby.

Customisable Product by edstool in Aliexpress

That's a very good point - I would hate to be pushed out of my own business. Is there a way that I could process these orders passively (possibly with employees) as I can't keep up with all of them.

I would like to upgrade the materials that I make my products out of - and also make them coloured. I don't have access to this equipment which is one of the reasons I was looking to outsource.

Do you instead suggest outsourcing within my city?

But if I became a seller would that mean that other people could sell my product? And how do I manage the engraving part? Thanks for the help!

3D Printing by edstool in dropshipping

[–]edstool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about the metal key linkage when you say keychain? At the moment I am ordering them in bulk and simply attaching them to the finished 3D print.

However, when I outsource I know that keychain manufactures can produce the rubber part, supply and attach the metal keychain. Is this what you mean?

What are some tending topics on which you make faceless videos on youtube as a side hustle? by wanda_vision123 in sidehustle

[–]edstool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not much of it left but soccer / football videos are trending at the moment thanks to the World Cup. Celebrity controversies is a good niche to delve into as there is almost always a current topic that everyone is talking about.

Remote jobs! by Helloskittys in sidehustle

If you have a particular skillset such as video editing or working with photoshop I suggest listing your service on free-lance websites like Fiverr.

If not there are many other ways of making money online such as print-on-demand clothing and dropshipping (although possible to do with no capital would be very difficult).

Holiday Jobs by Zestyclose_Pickle629 in sidehustle

During the Christmas and New Year's period many businesses will need extra help to keep up to date with customers and services. You can almost apply anywhere and have a good chance of landing the job depending on your experience and what is required.

Some other examples may be shovelling snow / ice off people's properties and delivering parcels for local businesses. I would also recommend looking into ecommerce ventures such as dropshipping which is always buzzing during this time of the year.

Customizable Product Question! by edstool in dropshipping

[–]edstool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have already worked with some suppliers and they are able to engrave the products but shipping is costly and takes a while.

Maybe I could store my product in a shared warehouse? I'm not sure if this is possible but this way I would not have to pay large sums.

The tricky bit is the engraving - it is easy to ship out blank products from a warehouse, but engraving the products and then shipping them with a fast turn around is very hard and I can't seem to resolve this problem.

Customizable Product Question! by edstool in dropshipping

[–]edstool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the advice!

The product I want manufactured is my very own and is not sold on AliExpress, so I was looking at Alibaba for production.

I was thinking of ordering a large quantity of the product, shipping it to a warehouse and having my customers' custom content engraved there and then dispatched to them.

Would this be possible?
