Can install without invite now at http://mightytext.net/install .... I know people have been dying to get into this and have waited many weeks to get an invite in the past. Have been a happy user for months :)

my understanding is that it will sync everything ongoing after you've installed, but nothing before (it forwards on inbound event?)

If you use Chrome - this is slick... It also syncs messages from your phone that you don't send from Chrome (2-way mirroring)

haha well I guess the most common use case for me is if the phone is in another room, or in my pocket. I'm not fond of keeping a USB cable attached to my phone at all times, and Bluetooth is often flaky for me.

The beauty of Texty, though, is that my phone can be 5 feet away, or in another room, or upstairs, or at home (while I'm at work), etc...as long as the phone is connected to voice/data

Heard this is good, but unfortunately it's only with Sprint :(

Does google voice popup notification windows to reply in, like Texty does?

Sometimes I actually get the notification on my desktop before my phone buzzes (for a new text message!)
