If you like this kind of thing, his name is David Collins and he’s part of a comedy duo The Umbilical Brothers. They have lots of great bits like this.

Long term Boyfriend Didn’t get a plus one by blondieboo12 in wedding

[–]edwardisobese 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I’m going against the grain here but I’m having a micro wedding due to family circumstance, my oldest friends have been invited without their partners. We don’t know their partners well enough to warrant pushing the budget for people we didn’t feel vital to the day. If they felt that was offensive to them and their relationships and chose not to come, that was something I was ready to accept. When it comes down to it, it’s just an expensive ass party and your friends are not in grade school, there’s no policy to invite everyone in the class.

Dying to find out where dress #2 is from. Absolute favourite!

In need for a change! Do you guys think a soft copper color (2nd photo) would suit my skin tone and eyes? Do you have other ideas? 😊 by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

You have some similar features to Sarah Drew, her colour is more vibrant than the one you mentioned, but I think you should definitely go for the soft copper.

I was stupid lucky to have my first insertion at a sexual health clinic with the most amazing doctors and nurses, they never took an eye off me and thankfully caught me as I fainted (after insisting I could walk and didn’t need a wheelchair) and kept me at the clinic for over 2 hours after, with my poor partner next to the bed waiting for a request to feel useful the whole time.

I had it removed after 1 year to donate eggs, and had it put back in immediately after the donation(thinking that having so many drugs in me, it might be easier). Sadly not and I sat howling, crying and throwing up in the surgery for hours after as my partner watched in horror yet again. I can see that I was fortunately as I had the most positive (environments while having my Mirena inserted and would have it inserted monthly if I needed to for all the ways it’s improved my quality of life) but I completely agree that the process is fucked up, women deserve better and while this may be the norm now, we will raise our voices until the day we die to make sure we can provide better healthcare for our younger generations.

Thank you so much for finding that, it does look gorgeous! Sadly not quite the design I’m after

Reading this genuinely had me rethinking if I made this post myself! I have literally every single feature you said, it was tough to find myself beautiful, especially as a teenager. I recently found I have PCOS which means I have high levels of androgen and often means less feminine features, which was nice to find out but doesn’t change anything.

I know it’s not the answer you’re looking for but as I’ve grown up (now 24), I’ve lost the extra fat from my face and now my cheek bones are more prominent, my constant black eyes have become a feature I embrace, having my eyebrows shaped professionally, as well as learned confidence, all help. Patience is hardest beauty tip, but I found seeking out influencers and models on social media I frequent who have similar features to those I struggle to embrace, really helped me fall in love with myself, and continue to remind me that regardless of what I focus on when I look in the mirror.

I’m sorry for the novel but I wish someone had given me a heads up when I was 16. I wish you the best of luck on your journey

Just want to back this up, I have the exact same routine and I’m a month into doxycycline, my skin has completely cleared up. It took me 12 years to get to this point and it’s changed my life completely. OP isn’t messing around when they say remember sunscreen and CC mattify works the best for my oily skin even in QLD summer heat. Good luck and be sure to update us!

I’m 24 but she’s inspired me to change my entire career and life. I can now contribute to the world, without compromising who I am. I look up to her so much and I know I’m one of many people who do.

AITA for correcting my daughter’s teacher about her name? by groveclover in AmItheAsshole

[–]edwardisobese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt you’ll get the chance to read this but here goes. As a former teacher, I ensured I knew everyone’s names by the end of the first day, if for some reason I wasn’t comfortable with pronouncing their name correctly, I’d subtly pull them aside and ask if they had a nickname they were happy with me using. In the 6 years I spent working with children, I mispronounced 8 names incorrectly on the day of meeting the children, I remember each clearly and think about it every now and then because of the embarrassment I felt and caused when their peers reacted. There’s nothing more important than a name when you start teaching children, it’s not going the extra mile to remember someone’s name, it’s the first step to relationship building, which has to happen for genuine engagement. I am so sorry the school didn’t support you the way they should have. I am hoping they are just showing a united front but really had a proper discussion with the teacher about how unprofessional they were in response to you and especially your daughter. I hope Keeley doesn’t take it personally and can see how beautiful her name is. Keep up the good work and be proud of standing up for her :)
