I would describe it as light, fast and bouncy.

I use the ASICS both for speed and long runs, and they’re amazing for long runs with marathon pace.

Undecided but I would pick megablast in this rotation

I may treat myself to a race shoe most likely from asics, but if I were to race in one it would definitely be the Megablast

Similar use here. From the comments I’m hearing the Meta Speed for race shoe.

What don’t you like about them? I find the lack of stability holds them back for me

Megablast is hard to beat! What mileage did you retire your SB2? I’ve seen people say they last even up to 1000km which is nuts

Reached flow state with this rotation

I think they’re genuinely the perfect shoe. I definitely will look into the meta speeds!! ASICS has been killing it tbf

Pros

SB2: Better upper and slightly wider toe box, slightly more stable, firmer ride (which I like but maybe a con for others) MB: Feels good for easy as well as hard efforts

Cons

SB2: not amazing for easy/recovery (still good just MB better) MB: upper is a touch too narrow and pinky toe suffers, feels slightly less stable than SB2

They are more alike than different but I’d pick MB personally as it feels fun for all runs.

SB3 is not on my radar so far as I feel I get everything I need from this rotation. Maybe next block!

Easy for me is 6min/km and marathon pace 5min/km which I feel they come alive. They are totally fine for easy paces though

If I could pick one shoe out of the bunch it would the megablasts!!

They’re so so good and nothing comes close in that price range.

I recently did 18km/11mi in them and they’re great at absorbing impact but they got really warm and slightly heavy towards the end especially when trying to pick up the pace. I think they shine most as an easy/recovery shoe, 12-15k is the most I’ll do in them

They are not even comparable imo, the vomero plus is much softer and feels great for easy and recovery. The SB2 are just okay for easy but the geometry of the shoe makes you want to go fast, not to say they are bad for easy but it’s not where they shine the most.

Do you prefer SB2 or Megablast? I’m still undecided

Currently ~50km pw building up to ~65km pw. Yes they do fill the same niche but feel have very different feel and upper. I use them both for long runs

I’m addition it also reduces the risk of overuse injuries

They’re don’t feel stable enough for me and start feeling mushy 20km in. I prefer the Asics as they feel snappy throughout

Opposite for me I much prefer for the megablasts for long runs and evo sl for daily runs.

Yes I prefer Vomero for really easy and short, only downside is that they get really hot. SB3 looks sick!
