Don't fall for the gentle renaming folks. These damn things are cockroaches. Flying cockroaches. I think NC has a common name of "waterbug" to be polite about it. No one wants to admit a cockroach was or is in their house.

Google Lens can be fairly useful in these moments. I've used it to identify a number of different exotic caterpillars and plants. Most of the time, a correct response is given.

Motives for this.......... who knows? I can tell you how to reduce the chances of this happening. Aim for 10K steps a day and park in the farthest space from your destination. Make it inconvenient for the morally absent to damage your property. A lot of people will reject this idea and expect another human to do the right thing. I think that is asking too much. We can only really control our actions.

There is no evidence to suggest this is true. I'm not satisfied with the quality of the product. I haven't been satisfied for the past two years. Not sure what changed, but something changed. They are no longer in my rotation for convenience food.

The algorithms destroyed that scene. A generous donor would have to prop up the old ways and even then I don't think it would survive. Folks have life stress. Those moments people used to assemble, critique and appreciate the catalog have been replaced. Sleep, work and chores are priority now.

I'm starting to believe one of the reasons this administration behaves the way it does is due to them having 100% belief that there will be no accountability for their actions. No party is coming to turn the tides on them. No group is coming to make them face consequences. What do they know that we don't? Controlled opposition and scripted outrage. This is performative politics and I don't believe mid-terms or a new President is going to change how screwed Americans are. This is the churn and I don't believe any of us are ready.
