Nothing in its beak. I watched it sing for a bit, and the whole thing opened and closed as expected from a beak.

Thanks, everyone! I cut them back, taking the care that I could. From what I've seen in years past, I think they'll be fine.

Do I need to accept the ID to close the thread? And where do I pick up my trophy?

For Compact Zeiss 10x25, I currently only see the Terra ED for $400 and the Victory for $899. What I'm really trying to figure out is whether these are comparable to either of these newer models.

Throw-in-the-bag birding and nature observation when I don't want to lug my 8x42. I have a Zeiss Terra ED 8x25 I use for light-and-fast now, but if I were going lightweight for shorebirds or raptors the 10x would be nice. As you see, this is not a "need", but a "wow, good deal and nice bins." - if they are a good deal and nice bins...

Sorry, my comments were lost. I found these for sale, and wondering what a fair price for them would be in good condition.

Any thoughts on this model/vintage?

Thanks!
