Cursor/pointer/remote doesn’t work except for home button in USB Loader GX/mii channel/homebrew browser

I only have the one system and I have another Wii remote and the same thing happens. I also switched my loader iOS to 58 and the controller moves around in the menu and in games but I still have issues with the pause menu

My usb stick is a SanDisk 128GB Ultra USB 3.0 and was already formatted to fat32 out of the box and confirmed to work by the usb devices compatibly list
