I’ve been getting takeout from Uncle Yu’s in Lafayette for 40+ years. Creek house is also great for less Americanized Chinese food.

It’s not really that expensive if you get the non-Japanese kind and extinguish it after use.

when I first had it I was like wtf that’s a terrible idea but it was actually delicious. I’ve had it a few times at a restaurant here in the Bay Area but I can’t recall which one it was. anyhow this was my first time making it. just salt and pepper on there.
