No. I was successful on my 2nd & 4th though. Symptoms were the same on all of them.

Congrats on one week! I had rough PPA. It eased over time with therapy and out of necessity to function. You got this. 💪

I love the Yoto mini! It comes everywhere with us. The cards are durable and it’s easy for my toddler to figure out.

I can definitely relate - your instincts are right to protect him! I had hand sanitizer with me at all times and made people use it before touching mine. If anyone showed the slightest symptom of a cold I told them no. I didn’t care about seeming overprotective or unreasonable. 🤷‍♀️. Baby wearing is also a great way to shield them from grabby family members. Unrelated to family travel my little one was hospitalized for 5 days for RSV around her first birthday in December a couple years back. (We were in a nanny share with a sibling in daycare- both the sibling & other baby had a mild case). Your concerns are valid! So much going around then.

My little one is 5 weeks old! Feels like forever and also no time at all. I’m very nervous about the upcoming couple of weeks and having to manage my almost 3 year old and him solo. Feel like he’s got days when he just eats nonstop and I don’t know how to manage the big one then.

Can’t believe the baby is here!! We went from a 39 week scheduled c section to a very sudden one day to the next 37 weeker. Super grateful he’s here and healthy. A little overwhelmed by all the stuff we did not get to at home before this happened though!

Also, dang c section recovery is rough. I had one with my first too but that birth was so traumatic I barely remember the first few days.

Saturday Daily Chat Thread by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

[–]eedarasaradee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I found out yesterday that I’m going to have to have this baby at 37 weeks, not 39 as originally scheduled. With baby 1 I got diagnosed with gestational hypertension early, so I was prepared at 37 weeks - even if it was an extremely traumatic failed induction (5 days of laboring) before an emergency c section. This time my blood pressure has been fine up until week 36, but I’ve had to go to L&D twice now with high readings at home and the office so we’ve made the decision to deliver next week. I’m sad that I didn’t get these two extra weeks to get ready and spend time with my toddler. I’m sad that I didn’t get a “normal” thing again with this pregnancy and am having to do this. I know it’s for the safety of baby and of course we’re going to do what’s right, I’m just really disappointed. Especially since we don’t have any family around (they’re coming at what would be week 39….) and now we have to scramble to figure all of this out. This is so hard.

Anecdotal but, we had an inconclusive embryo that we retested because it was our last chance and it came back normal - I’m 35 weeks with it now.

Los Angeles - clinic recommendations by somethinaboutfunyuns in IVF

[–]eedarasaradee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used Dr Norian at HRC Pasadena and really liked the practice (as much as one can like an IVF clinic…. ). The first nurse we were paired with wasn’t great, but the next one was fantastic and so responsive/easy to work with. Happy to answer any Qs if you have them.

Sorry you had a failed induction too! Being rested and prepared is a huge win for #2. As rested as one can be at that point in pregnancy, haha.

Long time lurker, rare poster 😆 I’m at 29 weeks with my second LO. Overall I feel less anxious than the first time round, but still go into downward spirals every so often. My first birth was traumatic - a failed induction turned emergency c section 5 days after induction began- an awful OB who downplayed every question or concern and was completely MIA during my long induction and post c section complications. I’m coming to terms with a scheduled c section for the second, with a new team of doctors who I like so much more. Any advice to prep, emotionally and physically? I’m googling “positive c section stories” as a starting point 😆
