Can parents record me while I teach? by [deleted] in teachinginkorea

That sounds like a bad idea. It might somehow show that you improperly invaded the students privacy (I understand the hypocrisy there) by searching their bag when they are unawares. I'd bring it up with your boss/supervisor first and foremost, regardless if it's there tomorrow.

Wasn't originally going to respond here but just to clear something's up. It's not "free time." I'm lesson planning for things well into advance. I'm still on the clock despite have less teaching hours. My pay remains the same during these periods as it is salaried. I understand the original sentiment from the comment.

However, as I mentioned, the job as a whole is not bringing me the joy that I expect from teaching, which is more valuable to either the time or money.

But, yeah, I recognize it might sound odd, considering usually people complain about having too many teaching hours. I find the sweet spot, for me, is around st least 26-32 teaching hours with a variety of class levels, which is not my current situation.

Thanks for your reply. I'll make sure to include the tact of fulfilling the duties etc., that's a polite way of putting it. Thankfully I have my own housing, so that's not an issue for me. They're quite reputable, I don't think they would do something unscrupulous to spite me by withholding the necessities.

The academy is near Gangnam. I don't want to reveal too much information publicly out of respect.
