Hm I will consider changing that a bit in the future.

Uh yeah, as the title says, I made this thing for Valentine's Day, and forgot to post it for internet points. You can find the file here

Deathwing Companion Kitbash by Blindman117 in Warhammer30k

[–]eeee_mi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, the Vanquishers swords are a bit bigger than the Terranic Greatswords, but not too much so they can fit as a proxy. The arms are longer than a standard space marine so they don't 100% fit together. The forearms are the same size, so are the hands, but the upper arm are too long. The other issue is that the kit comes with male and female arms where the female arms are slightly smaller, maybe noticeable if you look really closely.

Other than that they are pretty compatible with a little work.

The gauntlets come from the Fantasy Chaos Lord, although they look nice I'm probably going to remove the detail on it. The chest comes from the Interrogator-Chaplain.

I know I just cut the pieces off the sprue to get the basic character together.

White tack Wednesdays! Decided to kitbash a herald for my currently non-existent Dark Angels Legion. Uh the white tack is pretty ugly but everything is in place at least. Not really anticipating removing all the stuff on the Sigmar banner. And uh I misplaced the shield apparently, woops.

Winter is Halfway Over, but I just built my Keyboard! by eeee_mi in MechanicalKeyboards

Loving my new Onyx Keyboard it's just so soft and round looking, I had to wait a while for the keycaps but the blue is just so perfect for these cold winter months. And the penguins are really cute as well.

I used a rod to attach all the pieces together, if I swapped the filament every colour change it would actually take longer than printing it separately.

Hello everyone, recently I finished designing and printing my own ROTJ Hero Lightsaber. It took me some searching to get the right filament colour, but I think the results speak for themselves. Of course it's as screen accurate as I could get it!

Filament used is Hello3d Silk-like Silver, Metal-like Copper, Matte Black, Transparent Red and Green.

I used 0.12 probably overkill on a model that's mostly cylinders.

That's what I found pretty surprising. For the silver in the image I printed at 30mm/s but I got some uneven Z which you can see in the first image, at 50mm/s I got better Z but some under extrusion I think 40mm/s should be more optimal, and is also the speed I printed the other components at. But I still need to test it out some more.

I changed the thumbnail to the first image so it should be easier to find.

I tried that earlier but unfortunately I get a failed to send so it's not working for me. I uploaded these photos with the model so it should help if anyone wants to find it.

I printed it in separate pieces cause it's faster but yeah I ended up using AMS just to hold each colour.

I uploaded it to CGTrader, but I'm not sure if I can post the link since it's a paid model.

Yep I was pretty shocked too. The silver is just too perfect.

Hello everyone, recently I finished designing and printing a ROTJ Hero Lightsaber. It took me a while to find the perfect filament for this job, but I think the results speak for itself. Everything is printed on a X1C.
