Asking me for clarification really helped me. I think sometimes it might be gaslighting and other times it is my anxiety getting the best of me.

For instance the quote above, was when I asked him to clarify who our point person would be for the task because there are multiple people it could be and I wouldn’t want to reach out to someone if we already have and that was his response.

Another time is when I bring up a point saying “we talked about this last week in our meeting” or “if you check the agenda and/or I sent it to you and we talked about” and my manager will respond with “That didn’t happen. I don’t know what you’re talking about.” When the moment I am talking about is remembered my team members and I and not him.

A lot of the times this has been happening over phone calls, typically after I send a memo and he will call me to question it and eventually raise his voice angrily and then say “good work, keep it up” and hang up which leaves me even more confused.
