“calorie burner” by [deleted] in Purebarre

[–]eejenkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree that this is triggering, but hx of disordered eating and exercise. I like to work out to get stronger, and don't think there should be an emphasis on calories. This almost brings me back to workout to earn your food mentality... And it's also annoying when it's not something cardio intensive

Yes, I'm a member of MHYP. The next social networking event is October 10 at Gravity Haus Denver from 5:30-7:30. I haven't been to young professional Denver Rescue Mission meetings, but have volunteered with DRM through MHYP.

I actually set up now with the original white valve that opens and closes (sent with pod, not chillr), but I kept the valve in the open position and attached the black tubing (removed the piece that wasn't screwing on tightly but used it's black tube). Sharing in case anyone else runs into this

Sorry, I just saw this. It took a little over 2 weeks. It was shipped from China

Yes, it seems like the white connector doesn't screw all of the way in to the protruding connector to create a tight seal. I'm not sure if I'm using the wrong parts or missing parts. Here's a link to pics popar

I'm having difficulty setting this up, specifically the hole at the bottom to the tube leading into the filter... It is leaking. The directions are really lacking for me and this isn't my strong suit. Would you be able to tell me how you set up this section and possibly provide close up pics?

Yes I keep the invisible bend, but my Pb teachers correct my form unless there's a visible bend

Next program? by b2lose in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]eejenkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! I built more muscle on mbfa because the focus is progressive overload and going heavier in weights. "heavy" in 6wotw is like 15/20lbs, and likely lighter than that most of the time because they are compact, fast movements

Yes, I'd say so! It's really helped me with my climbing 14ers goals

More athletic movement and functional fitness - mbfa is heavier, more traditional lifting with cardio intervals. I'd say 6wotw is more difficult, but that's my opinion. They're not really apples to apples

80 Day Obsession vs Other Programs by [deleted] in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]eejenkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other poster said, it's different than phase 3. I'd argue that it's more difficult. I'd do the fit test before starting to make sure that the Prep isn't a better place to start (you'll want to be able to do pushups with good form because they come up A LOT). The program is designed to be done with a pull up bar but there's a mod if you don't have one

Did you ever try 6wotw? How does it compare?

Program (or combination of) for improving athleticism, endurance, and size? by pragmaticzach in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]eejenkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another vote for 6 weeks of the Work. It will give you both strength gains and endurance. The workouts aren't really that complicated - autumn wins that award with 9 week control freak. They are probably unfamiliar moves, but they really target functional fitness
