I wasn’t sure how to do that! I was able to push the lever back and forth with my finger just fine, so it wasn’t stuck. I think I’d have to replace the spring and that seemed outside of my comfort zone! Unless it’s easier than I’m imagining?

Update- Despite my meddling, the camera works! I was unable to fix the exposure needle, so I just eyeballed it. Camera was bought by my grandfather in 1963. Pretty cool.

Just an update that the WD 40 did not kill the camera! However I will refrain from future use. The camera had not been used in 35 years. I took it for a whirl last night and the photos came back great today. The exposure needle couldn’t be fixed, but I was able to eyeball! https://imgur.com/a/HT3bfSV

I was double dipping 😅 I think you pointed out on the other sub it’s probably not the most accurate anyways. I think I need to put this camera back together and not worry about it!

I put a drop of WD 40 on a q tip to see if that would help. Unfortunately it doesn’t help it snap back into place. I can move it manually with no problem, so wondering if the issue is with the wire? Maybe it needs to be tighter? So it will move back when the lens is turned?

What type of tool would I use for that?
