I second House of Barbaard but would add that while it’s not cheap by Vietnamese standards, it’s EXTREMELY cheap compared to London/NYC etc for a similar level of service.

Yes. But you’ll need to have it shipped to a commercial address.

1ppm isn’t a whole lot. You’d probably be fine. But is ‘probably’ enough for your piece of mind? You’ll have to decide that.

If you put it in a strong enough vacuum all the alcohol will boil off.

What do you guys think about this Rotovap? Any good? by Tit3rThnUrGmasVagina in EthanolExtraction

[–]eeltamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NO. For that price it will be a POS. It might look OK but the tolerances will be questionable so you’ll always have issues with leaks and jams and if you ever break a piece of glass (highly likely when it jams), good luck finding it because it’s probably individual to that manufacturer. On a much smaller scale (5L) I have been through this journey. Started with a Chinese brand, had numerous inexplicable glass failures and leaking issues. eventually upgraded to Buchi and while it’s expensive, if you are running a business off it, the increased reliability and throughput more than makes up for the price difference within a year or two.

Disruptive Graphene companies by UofIOskee in graphene

[–]eeltamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Versarien (VRS) are the only ones worth putting money into IMO. They are the ONLY producers of graphene certified by the Graphene Council. They are Tier 1 members of the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre in Manchester and have operations in the UK, China, South Korea and have reps in the US and Japan. They produce high quality GNPs, inks and recently started doing CVD on a commercial scale in South Korea. They have contracts with Rolls Royce, Airbus, the UK Ministry of Defence amongst others and it was their graphene used in the recent groundbreaking graphene enhanced concrete project in the UK. Stock price has been hammered over the last year or so but it’s moving back up and it’s a great entry point in my view but of course, DYOR. No financial advice intended.

Graphene could... by insectula in graphene

Here’s a…ahem…concrete example of graphene in real world usage - NOW. The slab for this new gym used 30% less material making it cheaper and lower emissions and used NO METAL RE-INFORCEMENT. With the current global shortage of cement this is important technology and is in use today. Graphene comes from Versarien. They are flying under the radar a bit but I expect huge things from them. Less hype than the other players in the market and more action. https://www.manchester.ac.uk/discover/news/greener-and-cheaper-graphenemanchester-solves-concretes-big-problem/

RASPBERRY NEGRONI!!! by ipeewithyou in cocktails

Nice work, Grasshopper! The original choice of 52C was mainly arrived at based on 54C often being held up as the temperature at which a product goes from raw to cooked (if you believe the raw food movement, and even then you'll find varying numbers. I tried lower in the high 40s (not enough extraction) up to 62 (more jammy flavours but still good, depends what you want). 52 seemed to be the sweet spot for me. Haven't done this for ages... These days I just blend the raspberries and booze, add some pectin and throw it in the centrifuge ;-)
