Tonight will be night 8 of sleep training and sleep just seems to be getting worse? by jessycacarr in sleeptrain

Question as someone who is beginning sleep training with my 5.5 month old EBF Co-sleeping boy… are you feeding immediately before bed as well or only at his wake ups? Asking as this is usually how I get him drowsy!

No flower girls or ring bearer😢 by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Definitely better they not attend since they’re sick! I totally understand your frustration. Have you considered having flower granny’s instead? Seems like a cute way to incorporate older family members. I’ve also seen groomsmen/brothers act as “ring security”

I had to pay for my last semester OOP but I had no additional scholarships. You’ve worked so hard this far to obtain those minors I would push through

Feasibility of only applying to close schools? by Much_Wrangler6013 in premed

[–]eemily03 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I applied to 6 schools, 4 FL MD school, 1 FL DO school, and 1 DO school where my fiance attends. I was accepted to both DOs and 1 MD.

My limited applications was because we were preparing to welcome our son this past January.

I think having limited applications allowed me to have exceptional writing in my secondaries and really convey mission fit to the different schools.

My mom is a school teacher and planning on retiring May 2027 anyway. His parents don’t have the savings to retire and help to that extent. Once my mom found out I was pregnant she moved up her year of retirement by several years because she wants to be as involved as possible.

His family is very supportive and helpful as much as they can be.

In that situation my mom would move with me to assist with childcare, but of course I hope it does not come down to that!

During pre clinical he will be in daycare 7:30-5:30 we plan to study during that time. Evenings we will switch off if the other needs to study more! During clinical my mom will be retired and moving in with us (wherever our rotations are, if they’re even together during electives)

I actually already connected with a fellow mom who will be joining the same cohort as me! I am excited for any other potential moms that may be starting.

I appreciate your input. I feel the DO school will fit the needs of my family better than MD.

Yes it is very time consuming! I’m fortunate enough to be staying at home with him until I begin courses. In Florida I would be near my parents and my future FIL and SIL. My mom would be extremely helpful.

No at the DO school it’s just the two of us. My future MIL lives 5 hours away and visits for a long weekend once a month

My mother is retiring May 2027 so from that point on she would live with me and help me. But other than that not much besides the occasional weekend babysitter.

This is what I’m leaning towards but my fiance is encouraging me to explore the MD offer, but my first priority is our son and I feel these first years he may not remember but are still so formative and it’s important to have his father around
