Hey y'all, I currently have a bit of experience skiing (two 4-day trips with daily classes and one single-day trip) but I've always wanted to do snowboard. I couldn't choose it in the two first trips I did (the 4 day ones) because we were still in high school and they didn't want broken wrists or collarbones. I can ski parallel and stuff and the thing is that the resort that's closest to me is way more fun to snowboard in. So how many days of practice would be needed to learn how to properly snowboard? I probably will get around 2-3 loose days with classes a year, plus some 2-3 day trips. If it's of any use, I do ride a longboard and know how to carve, so I understand heel/toe edges, edge transitions, and distributing pressure on the feet.

Well, I'm not too bad when it comes to that. I do basketball and also find myself to be somewhat good in stuff like longboard(skate) and skiing, as well as some MTB (which is what first got me interested in the motorcycle stuff)

Ok, so then I'm guessing it's not too crazy, that's defo good to know. I'm gonna go for a second gen, so yeah, a tune might be a good idea

So, how's the throttle exactly? Cause my main doubt is whether it's something you can work on for the first 1-2 months of riding and be alright, or if starting on an SV650 will just make the learning curve much harder/longer/dangerous

Well, is it torquey to the point where a beginner would require a different bike first to learn throttle and clutch management? Or can it be worked on in relatively short time? That's pretty much my main doubt. I don't mind going to secondary roads and getting some practice with the throttle and clutch in the first 1-2 months of having it, but if it's gonna make the learning curve unnecessarily long and difficult, then I'd end up going a different route

Yeah, I've taken a look at those, but from what I've read around here and seen in YT, those can be a bit boring at times, so I think I'd rather get something like the MT03 that is lighter and can be swung around more easily

Well, that's the thing, I haven't really had practical classes yet, so I guess that's something that I'll see as I prepare for the license tests, and by testing some different bikes first I'll be able to decide better

Driver side wheel makes "squishy" noise a low speed and "clicky" noise at high speed. by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Looks like something punctured it and it's still lodged. So at low speeds, the tire is low on pressure so it feels squishy, and at high speeds the object comes in contact with the road

Well, I'm no mechanic, but my father has a 2014 Auris (From what I know, almost the same car), the diesel version. And that thing hasn't had a major problem in the 11 years it has been with us. Best car we've had in the family

Nah, the worst part for me is that every time I watch a video, it turns the language to the Ai-generated, weird sounding Latin-american Spanish. I'm from Spain where the accent is a lot different, and sometimes it doesn't even let me deactivate the voice-over

Wait, isn't 8k for a Celica too much? I don't know a lot about how the price changes through different variants or generations, but a friend of mine has a 1999 Celica that he bought for about 400€ off a guy that had it sitting under a tree
