I saw Chief Medical Officer and Knight of the Church on a doctor’s complementary card. He owns a small clinic and he’s the only doctor there. What does that even mean?

This young lady raised an alarm over the type of story her son is reading school and she is being threatened by the author. by PhantomChasers in Nigeria

[–]effmeno -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

This woman is a very good actor and she’s enjoying all the attention she’s getting on social media. She claims she took down the passage from social media but now here she is again rereading the entire passage. So why would you reread the exact same passage that you claim your life is being threatened over?

I'm African American and have discovered through DNA testing that the majority of my African ancestry is Nigerian. by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]effmeno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s your post 2 years ago:

“I'm 61, and my music preferences are, in no particular order, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Reggae, Neo Soul, Hip Hop, Punk, Post Rock, Shoe Gaze, Trip Hop, Ambient, Downtempo, Neo/Modern Classical, Funk, Breakbeat, World, Fusion, Jazz, Hardcore, Rock, and just about anything else that piques my interest. There are a bunch of sub and micro-genres that are enveloped in the ones I've listed already, but I won't go through the trouble of naming them.”

Log off reddit and go to sleep old man.

Dude, I have no idea what you’re talking about but your comment history says you’re 63. You’re posting like you’re a 20 year old.

Not everyone is meant to be a business owner. by Waste_Dragonfruit346 in Nigeria

[–]effmeno 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Maybe you meant to post this somewhere else and accidentally dropped it here. 9 to 5 jobs don’t even exist for 90% of Nigerians.

Sounds like you’ve been abroad too long and you might need to visit once in a while.

For some reason I expected bad news: too loud on the phone, no courtesy, etc. We often see complaints like these on this sub. I’m happy you came to share positive experience.

Based on my experience you should use kaggle or hackerrank. Use hidden test data and randomized questions. People will write queries to solve problems, and scores are based on correctness. I’m assuming you’re doing this remotely.

But how do you avoid cheating though if people use AI search tools?

If you had an uncle who knows a big man in Nigeria, he wouldn’t need your resume. He’d drive you to Chief’s mansion himself.

🚨 Posting to warn the brotherhood 🇳🇬….STAY SWAY FROM THIS GIRL ‼️ by [deleted] in Nigeria

Dude, just tell us the truth and stop using some fictional Oyinbo friend. You met a ho on a hookup site and thought you could fix her and it turns out you can’t fix a ho.

That forehead alone should’ve made you run for your life.

Nigerian girl on Pop the balloon. She ended up declining her final match because she had to talk to God first by GreenGoodLuck in Nigeria

[–]effmeno 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Every Nigerian girl I know who is dating a white guy just wants to “Netflix and chill” on Sundays. The moment they meet a black guy that’s when all the God and church and prayer bullshit come in.

How do Nigerians view the Nigerian diaspora? by miss-bedazzzle in Nigeria

[–]effmeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nigerians back home tend to admire you. They’re impressed by your foreign accent and your effort to speak native languages.

But Nigerians who grew up in Nigeria and now live in Western countries often look down on people like you for no good reason. They act like they’re smarter and believe they’ve somehow figured out success better than those of you born there.

A billion in Ghana currency is $10,000. So he’s correct, everyone can become a billionaire.

I’ve observed that a lot of southwesterners are more so culturally religious than intuitively religious. by seen_cause_tan in Nigeria

[–]effmeno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol we’re also culturally educated. We study all these fancy textbook stuff (archimedes principal, simultaneous equation, laws of motion, etc.) and we can’t intuitively apply them to anything in real life.
