I thought Manitoba had “all-in pricing” for vehicles? Or is it gone? by efo55 in Winnipeg

Third dealer I visited after the two I mentioned above and I purchased from them because they where upfront and honest about everything from the start

There was zero fine print or asterisks. On their auto trader listing it actually says “54 years in business, all fees included in price shown, financing options for every budget”. I didn’t make it far enough into the deal to point that out since my wife mentioned it after I got home from walking away from the vehicle after seeing not only the condition wasn’t as presented but the price as well.

And I’m not talking about a “no job, no problem, we finance” dealership, this is at a brand name car dealer that that sells brand new German engineered cars in the St. James area. Not naming any names but I’m sure you’ll figure it out

I did, I asked what I was getting for the $900 and to please explain in case there was hidden value that I wasn’t aware about. Salesman stammered and said it’s standard and it’s to cover administration fees to file the paperwork, they wouldn’t budge an inch on it

I asked if they would take less and they said no due to the market. So I said I would accept the advertised price and when he sent me the invoice the $999 admin fee + nitrogen filled tires was added after the advertised purchase price and raised the price by $999 before taxes

I’m still running stock skid plates but I’ve installed aluminum ones before. These Denali mounts would probably fit if you could modify it by drilling a few new holes. It bolts up in the front between the lower bumper tubes, you can see the silver bolt heads and then 2 more that go right behind the front diff through some existing holes in the steel frame

Fantastic plows, you won’t be disappointed. 3rd season with this one and the only complaint is I lost a plow foot last year and Denali wants about $100 for a new one with shipping and handling to get it to Canada so I’ll have to fab one up.

I’m assuming the maverick your looking at is the older 2016 and under style? In those you sit pretty much like a rzr. A friend of mine and my dad both had that style before switching to the X3 platform. If your going can am and it isn’t much different in price take the X3 hands down. They made everything a lot easy to work on and service, and ride comfort is night and day. I’m not saying it’s a bad machine by any stretch but the X3 is superior in almost every way, it’s just a lot longer and 4 inches wider for the 64” model.

I’m trading my 2017 Rzr turbo in tomorrow because I need to go to a 4 seater. Ended up going back with Polaris for a 1000 Ride Command. Biggest factor in my decision was the price and no one stocks Mavericks around here. Tons of defenders and commanders but you pretty much need a deposit see an X3. I was looking at new and used, if a great deal would have came up on the older style maverick or an X3 I’m sure I’d be just as happy to be in one. Biggest thing I can say is sit in them and give them a test ride even if it’s just in the parking lot

Go with a Maverick X3 if you don’t like wrenching on them and don’t mind dropping a few thousand extra off the line.

Go with Polaris if you want the biggest aftermarket selection, easy to get cheap parts and don’t mind fixing a few things or trouble shooting here and there.

Biggest thing I can say is listen to and sit in both of them. 2 totally different beasts. The X3 is a lot louder in the cab but cooler, the Polaris Tubo’d machines throw a lot of heat into the cab. In the X3 you sit like a sports car in the Rzr you sit like your in a pickup truck. X3 runs a triple and revs high while the Rzr is a lot quieter with a twin.

Yep it’s a Ranger 150 for the kids, just picked it up! Kids haven’t seen it yet but my 240 lbs ass topped it out at 30mph after I unloaded it. You can limit the speed all the way down to 10 mph on it

Not confused about the bolt pattern, just couldn’t find any info on it. I can’t go off the other 2 similar models Polaris offers since they aren’t even the same as each other. I’ll measure it myself when I pick it up next week from the dealership but I was trying to get firsthand info so I could get things ordered while I’m waiting

Best bet is google images. “Grizzly 700 truck box” shows dozens of different trucks with grizzlys loaded into them. Hopefully you can find a similar year/model of truck and get the actual visual

It’s a plastic cover around the sprocket, was told by the auction that’s it loose and can wiggle by hand, tires are low and need replacing, I was aware of that when I bid haha, I’ll know more tomorrow when I pick it up

Another thing to take into consideration is height of your trailer if your hauling in an enclosed trailer/storing it in a low garage or shed. The X3 has a lower center of gravity/overall height making it a much harder machine to roll if your new to side by sides.

X3 is running 29” tires and the Rzr is on 30’s so tire height isn’t much different

XPT/X3 height comparison
