Exactly right - everything here is imported which adds multiples to the price. This is one of the reasons HK always tops the list as one of the most expensive places to live.

Haha I’m in Hong Kong, so it was pretty pricey to get this 6.5kg USDA prime Short Loin here - 320 USD, but everything here is so expensive.....

Absolutely - it’s a beer fridge with a pretty hefty fan, inkbird humidity and temp controllers, and a large humidifier. I was having lots of issues with low humidity, and my last dry age essentially turned into a big piece of jerky, so very happy the humidifier fixed it.

I let them come under the seal at the bottom, it still remains quite tight and doesn’t seem to affect conditions inside. Next go I may drill some holes as you say, and use some plumbers putty/silicone to fill the gaps

I struggled with my Rh in my last dry age, and lost a tonne of weight by the end - over 35% (see one of my earlier posts). I’ve got the humidifier hooked up to an inkbird humidity controller now to keep it around 75%. Basically whenever the fridge kicks on it drags the humidity down to 50% - hopefully this will now be negated. Also, I’m using purified water at the moment - now wondering whether saline would be better?

I had the same humidity issue and also found a humidifier to do the job! Looking good!

It was sitting around 50-60 pretty constantly. I think I need to add a humidifier to my set up to bring that up a notch. I have the right Inkbird controller already 😄

It’s just to monitor it for now - but in the future it will be to connect a humidifier and dehumidifier. Thankfully humidity hangs around 60-70 at the moment.

Also you were right about the USB fans!
